Fishing is one of the best outdoor bonding activities for the family.

If you want to catch some Seabass on a lake, Caliraya, Laguna is the place to be!

There's a lot of beautiful views along the lake so, bring your camera and capture every wonderful moments of your weekend. Raincoats and vests are advisable during the rainy months (^&^)

The Seabass that we fished from the lake. Yummy to start the rainy day! {@^@}

If you want to explore for fishing but want some cool and quiet place, Salapingao in Dagupan City, Pangasinan is the perfect site.

Caleruega park in Batulao, Batangas.
A family picnic is a fun way of spending quality time together. It is the perfect activity to enjoy your kids with your family. Choose a picnic spot that has a big space for the kids.  Aside from your foods and picnic gears, don't forget to bring your kids a ball, a badminton set or something else for them to play with while the adults are chatting and relaxing.

Bringing your pets is also a good idea but consider the risks and inconvenience if travelling by aircon car.

Visit Kids Universe @ the ground floor of SM Mall of Asia.
Cutting edge technology and incredible state-of-the-art digital surround sound system make this virtual ride more exciting.  Admission fee here is 100 per person (no discount for children).

If you want your kids to see the planets, comets and asteroids, bring them in the Planetarium. This is like a moviehouse where short films are shown on its 360-degree dome. This is the main attraction of the Science Discovery Center, located near the South Parking area of SM Mall of Asia. Entrance fee per person is Php 350.

What are you doing, dad?!

You can also see a Virtual Reef here where kids can talk and ask questions to Mr. T. He's a virtual, funny talking fish. My kids had so much fun with this very talkative fish. He could understand and speak both in English and Tagalog. All questions are welcome. He even answered one silly question from my son. The question was, " do you know where the restroom is?" Mr. T answered, "I don't pee so i don't know" (^0^)

Bye Mr. T!

I'm tired!

When planning a weekend date with your family, consider spending a day at one of the many modern shopping malls in the city. Resorts World Manila located infront of NAIA 3 in Pasay City is indeed a nice place to go.

Inside the mall is a big nice lobby with a huge marble fountain surrounded by a beautiful floral arrangement. The restaurants around the circle offer great venues to relax and dine. Just a short walk from here is the Casino. If you don't have children with you, you can play some slots inside. Sorry no cameras allowed here.

At the 4th level you can find a very nice and comfy lobby, where you can relax and enjoy while waiting for the movie to start.

This place has something nice to offer no matter the time of the day except for the internationally acclaimed high-end brands. The shops inside are mostly branded and expensive. If you are a thrifty shopper and a true bargain hunter mom like me don't come here to shop (unless during sale season). But to those who do not like crowded places and just like branded products this mall is the best place to go.
